TSCATS Complete™ is a comprehensive resource that offers access to nearly 29,000 unpublished, non-confidential chemical testing results submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). It includes extensive data on various chemicals and is the most thorough compilation of TSCA Test Submissions available. Here’s how to utilize its advanced search features:
From the Dashboard, select the Advanced tab, then click on the TSCATS Complete™ Advanced button. This will open a search box for field-specific searching. The Search Field dropdown menu lets you choose the field to search:
- Title
- Abstract
- Authors
- Corporate Authors
- Supplemental Notes
- NTIS Issue Number
By default, Title is selected.
Choose the field you want to search and enter the desired criteria in the search box (e.g., "phthalate" in the Title field). Click Submit to execute the search.
The search will return a list of TSCATS documents based on your criteria. For example, searching for "phthalate" in the Title field will list all documents where "phthalate" appears in the title. This display includes additional details like Accession Number, Publication Year, and Page Count.
Use the page number buttons or click "<<" or ">>" to navigate through the results. You can also select the number of results to display per screen (10, 30, or 50).
To print the current page, use the Print Current Page icon located in the top right corner.
To print all results, use the Print All Pages icon in the same location.
Click on the Title of the TSCATS document to view its Citation record.
