A Full Text Search allows you to perform both simple and compound searches across the body of text in all documents within the underlying collections. This tutorial will guide you through using the Full Text search tool and its advanced features, including filtering content by product and collection.
The Full Text search tool is located near the top of your screen. Enter the desired word or phrase in the search box, then click the Submit button to execute the search.
You can refine your search results by selecting specific databases or collections. Additionally, use the Search Result Filters to find specific Collection or Document titles and to filter by Date Added/Updated.
For more precise searches, use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT). For example, entering phenol AND leukemia will narrow down your results. For detailed search tips, click on Search Tips in the navigation menu.
After performing a search, you will see a list of documents that match your search criteria. In this example, the list includes documents containing both "phenol" and "leukemia." The display provides additional information, such as the total number of documents found. You can navigate through the results by clicking on a Product Tab (e.g., ChemEXPERT, ReproEXPERT).
Click on a collection to view the available documents. By selecting a document, such as a PDF, it will open in a new window with various controls. Use these controls to Print or Save the document, or to attach a copy of the document to an Email.
